Music keyboard made for SubD modeling practice. Modeled with Modeler for Houdini, then textured in Substance Painter and rendered with Karma XPU, all about in 3 days. I've learned from the exercise that I need to think about placing poly loops strategically, avoiding changing edge flow in places where texts or labels are going to be placed during texturing; otherwise, I'll get warped letters or textures which are hard to scale in resolution or apply on SubD model with dynamic dicing of topology. Also, I've used Subsurface Scattering and Emissive textures to make the button's glow effect; I'm delighted with it because I had a lot of control of the glowing look while texturing in Substance Painter, and it's very easy to animate using shaders and attributes in Houdini, while placing light under each button may require too many samples and light will propagate too far inside the object.
